ABOUT Sweet Potato Ladoo RECIPE

Sweet Potatoes that are highly beneficial in the course of pregnancy because of their high nutritional content. Rich in Iron and fiber, vitamins (A,C,B6).

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sweet Potato / Sakkaravalli Kizhangu - 1/2 kg
  2. Powdered Jaggery - 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup (adjust as per your taste)
  3. Fresh Grated Coconut - 1/2 Cup

Instructions

  1. Wash the sweet potatoes in water very well and cut into 2 halves.
  2. Take a cooker, add halved potatoes filled with water above the level of potatoes. close it with a lid.
  3. Allow the whistle for 2 to 3 sounds. Let the steam escapes by itself.
  4. Peel off the skin from the potatoes. Mash the cooked potatoes with a masher or by hand. (After it cools.)
  5. Take powdered jaggery in a bowl along with 2 tsp of water and allow it to dissolve completely.
  6. Once it melted completely, using a sieve filter the syrup through this.
  7. Again put the bowl on the stove and heat it over the low flame along with coconut
  8. Stir it well until the mixture thickens up.mix the potato in this stage
  9. Take the mixture and make small balls
  10. If you like to add more coconut roll the ball on it.
