Rather than feeling bad about throwing your leftover idli away ,cube them and use them in place of your usual sizzler ingredients . Think about this yummy tempting sizzler.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 7 to 8 pieces idli
  2. 1 table sooon oil
  3. 2onion chopped roughly
  4. 2 bell pepper chopped in cubes
  5. 5 cloves garlic
  6. 2 table spoon chopped ginger
  7. 4 chopped greenchillies
  8. 1table spoon tomato puree
  9. 2 table spoon hot thai sauce
  10. 2 tabke sooon dark soya sauce
  11. 1teaspoon sugar
  12. 4 table spoon hot water
  13. 4 spring onion slices
  14. 2 table spoon sesame seeds
  15. Oil to shallow fry
  16. Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Cut idli in cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a paband shallow fry idli till golden and crunchy on all sides .
  3. Drain on tissue paper to absorb extra oil
  4. Heat 1table spoon oil in a pan.
  5. Add the garlic, ginger, sesame and tomato puree.
  6. Stri fry for a moment ,add the chillies and chilli sauce ,soya sauce ,hot water and sugar .Cook for three to four minutes.
  7. Add onion ,bell pepper and fried idli .
  8. Cook for further 3 to 4 minutes .
  9. Toss them so sauce coats everything.
  10. Remove from heat .
  11. Place your cast iron sizzler tray on flame for five minutes.
  12. Add cabbage leaves .
  13. Carefully add chilli idli with chillies,, spring , onion.
  14. Add lemon wedges .
  15. Place cast iron sizzler plate on wooden sizzler plate .
  16. Add some lemon drops on sizzler plate for crackling sound .
  17. Serve immediately .
