Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 cup rice
  2. 1 cup moong dal
  3. 1 cup chopped palak
  4. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  6. Salt
  7. 1 potato diced
  8. 4 to 5 florets of broccoli
  9. 1 tbsp Onion tomato paste
  10. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  11. 1 tsp cumin mustard seeds
  12. A pinch of Asafoetida


  1. Cook dal, rice, palak and vegetables in a cooker till soft. Mashed with salt & turmeric.
  2. In a kadai heat oil and add the cumin and mustard seeds. Add onion tomato paste and ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  4. Add the cooked khichdi and mix well. Cook for 5 to 10 min.
  5. Serve with papad & Achar
