ABOUT Layered Trifle RECIPE

Trifles are not only tasty but when served in as a dessert in glass, they also become visually more tempting

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Marie Biscuits broken 10 to 12
  2. Melted butter 1 tablespoon
  3. Cinnamom-clove-cardamom powder mix 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Vanilla custard powder 1 packet 70 gram
  5. Milk 500 ml
  6. Strawberry Jelly 1 packet 85 grams
  7. water 400 ml
  8. Almond and pistachios slivers 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Crush biscuits using rolling pin
  2. Add melted butter and spice powder and mix nicely.
  3. Take a tablespoon or a little more of biscuit crumbs and press flat in dessert glasses
  4. Chill in refrigerator for two hours
  5. Meanwhile bring milk to near boiling point
  6. Add custard powder to the milk and stir continuously . Let it boil for two minutes
  7. Let the custard cool and pour it to 1-inch layer over the biscuit crumbs in the dessert glasses
  8. Return the glasses to the fridge till custard is set.
  9. In the meanwhile boil 200 ml water.
  10. Add the jelly contents to the boiling water stirring constantly
  11. Now add the remaining 200 ml cold water to the above.
  12. Let jelly cool but not set.
  13. Takeout the dessert glasses from the fridge and add the third layer of jelly and put back glasses into the fridge.
  14. When jelly starts setting, garnish with almonds and pistachios slivers
  15. Cool and serve
