Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the crumble:
  2. 100 gms unsalted butter cubed(room temperature)
  3. 50 gms brown sugar
  4. 50 gms plain white sugar
  5. 120 gms all purpose flour
  6. 1tsp cinnamon powder
  7. 50 ml light unsalted buttermilk
  8. For the blondies:
  9. 150 gms all purpose flour
  10. 2 medium sized green Apples cubed
  11. Juice of one lemon
  12. 100 gms brown sugar
  13. 100 gms melted unsalted butter
  14. 1/2tsp baking soda
  15. 1/2 tsp unsalted salt
  16. 1/2tsp nutmeg powder
  17. 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
  18. 1 egg
  19. 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  20. 5 tbsp maple syrup/honey

Instructions

  1. For the crumble, combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl
  2. Using a fork or masher mix till a dry crumble state is reached and set to chill it in the refrigerator
  3. For the blondies, place all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix them well
  4. Keep the chopped apples in a small bowl and add the lemon juice to it and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, add all the wet ingredients one by one and keep mixing after you add each
  6. Keep adding the dry flour mix it by bit to the wet ingredients to combine well. Fold in all the ingredients well after adding all the flour mix
  7. Finally add the apples and mix well
  8. Now place the mix into a baking dish and top it well by making a layer of the crumbs prepared
  9. Bake for 25 minutes at 180 degree celcius or till done
