ABOUT Ragi roti with drumstick leaves RECIPE

The roti is made of ragi flour(finger millet flour) and drumstick leaves. The drumstick leaves enhances the taste and aroma of roti. The roti is high source iron as it contains ragi flour and drubstick leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Finger Millet flour 1 cup
  2. Drumstick leaves 1 bunch
  3. Onions 3 finely chopped
  4. Red chillies 5
  5. Jeera 1 teaspoon
  6. Saunf 1 teaspoon
  7. Garlic 4
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Water 2 cups
  10. Oil to spoon around

Instructions

  1. Take red chillies, jeera, saunf, garlic in a mixie jar and grind them to a coarse paste with little water.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add chopped onions and cleaned drumstick leaves and saute then well.
  4. Cook until the drumstick leaves are cooked.
  5. Take flour in a bowl.
  6. Add salt to taste.
  7. To this add the sauted onions and drumstick leaves.
  8. Then add the ground mixture.
  9. Add enough water and make a very thick batter.
  10. Heat tawa.
  11. Add a laddle full of batter.
  12. Slightly spread it. Spoon around oil.
  13. Cook for few minutes.
  14. Again flip to other side. Cook for few more minutes.
  15. Serve hot.
