ABOUT Veg makhani RECIPE

A delicious meddley of vegetables in a buttery, creamy gravy, to be served with some naan or roti. A perfect weekend dinner !!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup mix veggies( peas, beans, carrot, capsicum, cauliflower)
  2. 2 onion
  3. 3 tomato
  4. 6-7 garlic cloves
  5. 2 dry red chilly
  6. 1/4 tsp Jeera [cumin seeds]
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1/4tsp sugar
  9. 1/4tsp haldi [turmeric powder]
  10. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  11. 1/4 tsp veg meat masala
  12. 6-7 spoon cream
  13. Water as required
  14. 8 pieces of kaju [cashew nuts]

Instructions

  1. Dice the veggies into cubes & blanch them in hot boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. Now take onion, tomato, garlic & red chili, kaju in a mixer grinder jar and grind them into a fine paste
  3. In a pan heat 2 tsp of oil, add Jeera ,when it starts crackling add the ground paste, made earlier.
  4. Cook the paste for 4-5 min till the masala starts leaving the oil from the sides of the pan.
  5. Add salt ,all masala and mix it
  6. Add all boiled veggies and mix them
  7. Pour 1/2 glass water and stir it. Cook for 2 min.
  8. Now add cream and mix it again.. cook for 2 min and turn off the flame
  9. Serve it with roti or naan
