ABOUT Methi masala poori RECIPE

A nutritious combination of whole wheat flour and fenugreek rich source of iron. Loved by everyone and also a good option for tiffin and travelling. It gives yummy taste when accompanied with pickle.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Semolina 4 tablespoon
  3. Fenugreek leaves chopped 1/2 cup
  4. Jeera powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt 1 teaspoon
  6. Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Ghee 2 tablespoon for dough
  8. Brown bread 4 slices
  9. Curd 4 tablespoon
  10. Milk for dipping bread slices
  11. Water for kneading
  12. Refined oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Add milk to crumbled bread slices and make a smooth puree. No lumps created.
  2. Mix semolina and flour add bread mixture . Add methi and spices.mix well.
  3. Now add ghee to it. Make crumble texture with the help of fingers. Don't use palm.
  4. Now add curd and start making dough. If needed add water. Make a smooth and tight dough, cover it with wet cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes again knead it with greasy hands to make a smooth texture.
  6. Now heat the oil and make balls from dough.
  7. With the help of roller pin made pooris of ur choice.
  8. Put these in hot oil and fry from both sides.
  9. Remove it on kitchen towel to absorb extra oil. Your masala pooris are ready.
  10. Serve it with any curry or pickle of ur choice.
