Traditional dish of Jains of Murshidabad in West Bengal.It is very flavourfulTastes awesome both hot or at normal temperature.It is not available in shops or hotels.simply home cooked food item.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For dough
  2. 500GMS MAIDA
  3. 250gms semolina
  4. 2tbsp wheat flour
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Water as required
  7. Fir filling
  8. 2kg cucumber
  9. 350 gms curd
  10. 1.5 tsp chilly powder
  11. 1 tsp cumin powder
  12. 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  13. 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  14. pinch Garam masala powder
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil for frying


  1. Mix maida,semolina ,wheat flour,salt ,oil and sufficient water to make a dough
  2. For filling ,grate cucumber and tie curd in muslin cloth for few hours and then Squeeze all the water from cucumber and curd.
  3. mix curd in cucumber and other spices
  4. Make balls of dough and roll them. put filling in one and cover with other.
  5. seal the edges as shown in pic or with fork. Make all the kacoris .prick them with fork.
  6. Deep fry and serve with coriander and sweet chutney
