Protein-Rich Breakfast – Channa Daal Dosa Channa daal is also known as a split bengal gram. It is highly nutritious and easy to digest. It is high in fiber, calcium, protein and low in fat. Sprouts channa daal dosa made with channa daal, sprouts which make this dish super healthy and ideal for breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Channa Daal ( soaked overnight ) – 1 cup
  2. Thick Curd – 1/4 cup
  3. Finely Chopped Onion – 1 Big
  4. Whole Green Daal Sprouts – 1/2 cup
  5. Chopped Green chilies – 2 tbsp
  6. Cumin – 1 tsp
  7. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Grind soaked Channa daal with curd into a smooth batter.
  2. Now add chopped onions, sprouts, cumin, green chilies with 1/2 cup of water. Let it rest for 20 mins. Pour 2-3 drops of oil on the hot tava. Now add chopped onions, sprouts, cumin, green chilies with 1/2 cup of water.
  3. Let it rest for 20 mins. Pour 2-3 drops of oil on the hot tava.
  4. The batter should be like dosa batter. Heat the oil in a non-stick tava, pour a ladleful of batter. Spread it in a circular motion to make a dosa and cover with lid.
  5. Let it cook on one side then remove the lid. Using a little oil, turn over and cook on the other side as well.
