It is a healthy traditional recipe of south India

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rava or semolina 3 cups
  2. Urad dal 1 cup
  3. 1 tsp methi seeds or fenugreek seeds
  4. 1 cup chopped onions, tomato and green chilies
  5. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal with the fenugreek seeds for at least 2 hours
  2. Then grind it to a fine paste.
  3. To this paste add the rava and let it ferment for at least 10-12 he's.
  4. After fermentation add salt and give a nice mix
  5. Add water for required consistency.
  6. Grease a nonstick tawa and put a ladle full of batter and spread it.
  7. Add some chopped onion, tomato and chili.
  8. As the one side turns brown flip it to another side.
  9. Now serve it with any chutney or sambar
