Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan 2 cups
  2. Green chilli 4
  3. Coriander leaves a handfull
  4. Asafoetida a pinch
  5. Carrom seeds 1 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  7. Baking soda a pinch
  8. Citric acid crystals little
  9. Oil for greasing and frying (as desired)

Instructions

  1. Prepare batter like idli by mixing besan 1 cup baking soda citric acid crystals salt and water
  2. Grease the microwave container with oil .pour batter in it and microwave it for 4 minutes on high power
  3. This is the microwaved dhokla
  4. Now cut the dhokla with the knife
  5. Now prepare the batter of pakoda by adding green chilli chopped coriander leaves salt red chilli powder asafoetida carrrom seeds and salt.
  6. Add the dhoklas in the batter so that they are completely dipped in it
  7. Now heat oil in a kadai or pan
  8. Put the dipped dhoklas in it and fry in hot oil till golden brown on both sides
  9. Enjoy with sause or chutney
