ABOUT Sesame and jaggori burfi RECIPE

It is a tradition to make sweets with til and gud on the occasion of makarsankranti.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Roasted til 1cup
  2. Roasted and salted groundnuts 3/4cup
  3. Jaggory (shredded) 1cup
  4. Dry coconut (shredded) 2-3tbsp
  5. Ghee 3-4tbsp
  6. Cardamom powder 1tsp

Instructions

  1. Dry grind til and groundnut together
  2. Add cardamom powder and mix well
  3. Grease 2plates (10"diameter)
  4. Heat ghee in a kadhai
  5. Add jaggory and heat till jaggory melts completely
  6. Remove from the heat
  7. Transfer the mixture to the greased plates and spread evenly while still hot
  8. Spread shredded coconut over it and press lightly
  9. Make cuts of any size and shape as desired
  10. After completely cooling store in an airtight container
