Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Oil / Ghee – 1 tsp
  2. Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1/2 tsp
  3. Garlic – 5 fat cloves sliced thinly
  4. Ginger – 1 tblspn grated
  5. Sambar Onion / Chinna Ulli – 4 chopped finely
  6. Tomatoes – 1 large chopped finely
  7. Drumstick Leaves – 4 cups
  8. Water – 6 cups
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a sauce pan. Add in cumin seeds and let it sizzle. Add in garlic, ginger and saute for a min.
  2. Add in shallots and saute for 2 mins or so. Add in tomatoes and cook till it turns mushy.
  3. Add in drumstick leaves and saute for 4 to 5 mins.
  4. Add in water and cook for 5 mins. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Finally add 1 tablespoon milk and serve hot..
