Ingredients to make Protien Rich Oats-Paneer cutlets

  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/4 Cup chana dal
  • 100 gms cottage cheese
  • Low fat hung yoghurt as required
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • I tbsp grated ginger
  • 1/2tsp Crushed black pepper
  • 2 whole black big cardamom
  • 1 inch long cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp whole black pepper
  • coriander-mint leaves mixed 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil to grease the pan

How to make Protien Rich Oats-Paneer cutlets

  1. Pressure cook chana dal with minimum water by adding cinnamon, whole pepper, big cardamom, salt and pinch of haldi. Give 3 whistle.
  2. When cooked take out dal and give a good churn in mixure without adding any water.
  3. Crumble cottage cheese using a fork
  4. Take all the ingredients and mix.
  5. If mixture feel fry add more hung yoghut and prepare a soft dough
  6. Shape them as per your liking, and fry in a lightly greased pan on medium flame. If required add few drops of oil in between.
  7. Fry on both sides properly. Takes about 10 minutes as we are frying in very little oil.
  8. Serve with some healthy dip on chutney. I have served it with homemade no preservative apple-beetroot chutney.

My Tip:

Make and keep these cutlets refrigerated for 5 days without any problem. Reheat in microwave/pan they will still be soft
