Ginger Jaggery Tea

Ingredients to make Ginger Jaggery Tea

  • Coarsely ground fresh ginger– ½ inch or 1 ½ tbsp
  • Grated jaggery- 2 tbsp (adjust as per your preference)
  • Black tea powder – 2 tsp
  • Milk – ½ - ¾ cup
  • water 2 cups

How to make Ginger Jaggery Tea

  1. Wash Ginger thoroughly. Coarsely ground or thinly slice it.
  2. In a sauce pan or kettle heat water. Add ginger. Boil it on medium low flame for 8-12 minutes until mixture becomes ½ of the quantity.
  3. Add tea powder and Jaggery Simmer for 5 minutes on low medium flame.
  4. Add milk. Immediately Strain and serve hot.

My Tip:

Don’t boil tea after adding milk else tea will curdle.
