  • Boiled mashed potatoes -4-5
  • Chopped onion-1
  • Boiled sem -1.5 cups
  • tomatoes -2 large
  • Chopped ginger -1 tbs
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Chopped green chillies -4-5
  • Chaat masala -1.5 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • cumin powder -1/2 tsp
  • Musturd seeds -1 tsp
  • Musturd oil -3 tbs
  • For paratha
  • Dough 1/2 cup
  • oil

How to make Sem Aloo Chokha with Parantha

  1. GREASE 2 TOMATOES WITH OIL
  2. ROAST ON DIRECT FLAME FOR 5-7 MINS
  3. DIP INTO SOME WATER, PEEL OFF THE SKIN
  4. MASH PROPERLY
  5. ADD 4 BOILED & MASHED POTATOES
  6. ADD 1.5 CUPS BOILED SEM
  7. MASH WELL
  8. ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION
  9. ADD 1/4 CUP CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  10. ADD 4-5 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES
  11. ADD 1 TBSP CHOPPED GINGER
  12. ADD SALT TO TASTE
  13. ADD 1/2 TSP CUMIN POWDER
  14. ADD 1.5 TSP CHAT MASALA
  15. MIX
  16. HEAT 2 TBSP MUSTARD OIL, ADD 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS
  17. LET THIS CRACKLE FOR A FEW SECONDS
  18. ADD THIS INTO THE VEGGIE MIX
  19. 1 TBSP RAW MUSTARD OIL
  20. MIX
  21. ROLL OUT A SMALL BALL OF WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR DOUGH INTO A PARANTHA
  22. GRILL ON A HOT TAVA
  23. APPLY SOME OIL
  24. FLIP & COOK ON BOTH SIDES TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  25. SERVE HOT !
