ABOUT Vadi peas pulao RECIPE

This is the recipe of a quick pulao made with peas and amritsari dried vadies, which can be served with some raita on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 glass rice
  2. 2 onion
  3. 1 cup grean peas
  4. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 Amritsari vadi
  6. Salt
  7. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1 big cardamom
  9. 1 tej patta [bay leaf]
  10. 1 piece dalchini [cinnamon]
  11. 2 tsp oil
  12. 1 glass water

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice for 10 minutes in water.
  2. Fry the vadi in some oil and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a cooker
  4. Put cumin seeds and rest of the whole spices.
  5. Add chopped onion and saute.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds.
  7. Add peas and mix well.
  8. Add vadi.
  9. Put salt.
  10. Now add the soaked rice, mix and add the water.
  11. Stir well.
  12. Close the lid and let this cook until 1 whistle is attained.
  13. Open and serve hot with some raita on the side.
