Phirni with a punch of mango..

Mango Phirni

Ingredients to make Mango Phirni

  • Basmati rice 4 tbsp
  • Milk 4.5 cup
  • sugar to taste
  • mango Pulp 1 cup
  • cardamom Powder 1 tsp
  • kewra water - a few drops
  • pistachio for garnishing

How to make Mango Phirni

  1. Soak the rice in water for atleast 1 hour.then make a paste in mixer.please don’t make a complete fine paste.(about 90%).
  2. Heat the milk in a nonstick bowl.stir continuously. after heating add rice paste.stir for 10 mins, see the thickening has started.add cardamom powder.
  3. Add mango pulp & sugar.stir again for 5mins & see if the milk has thickened well.
  4. Then switch off flame & mix kewra water.now pour the hot phirni in an earthen pot (mitti ke sakore). Cool to room temperature.
  5. Keep it in the freezer for 1 hr.
  6. Serve with a garnishing of pistachios or mango pulp.

My Tip:

Stir well so that there will be no lumps
