Bhaji Chatkara Burger

Ingredients to make Bhaji Chatkara Burger

  • potatoes, 2, chopped
  • Green peas, 1/2cup
  • paneer, 1/4cup, cubed
  • cauliflower, 1/2cup, chopped
  • carrot, 1/2cup, chopped
  • onion, 1 big, chopped
  • French Beans, 1/4cup, chopped
  • ginger Garlic, 1tsp, grated
  • Celery, 1/4cup, chopped
  • Green onion, 1/4cup, chopped(whites and greens separated)
  • tomatoes, 3/4cup, chopped
  • capsicum, 1/2cup, chopped
  • Burger mayonnaise, 2tsp
  • red chilli powder, 1+1/2tsp
  • turmeric powder, 1/4tsp
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder, 1/2tsp
  • coriander powder, 1/2tsp
  • Pav Bhaji masala, 1tsp
  • Jaljeera masala, 1tsp
  • lemon juice, 1+1/2tsp
  • cucumber, 1 small, sliced
  • salt to taste
  • butter, as required
  • Burger Buns, 4

How to make Bhaji Chatkara Burger

  1. Take chopped potatoes, carrot, cauliflower, french beans and peas into a pressure cooker. Add 1/2cup water and salt and pressure cook for 1 whistle and then simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. When the pressure releases mash the veggies properly. Keep aside until required.
  3. Now take a pan and add 3-4tsp butter and let it heat.
  4. Add ginger garlic to it and saute for few seconds.
  5. Now add onions, whites of green onion and cook them until translucent.
  6. Now add chopped capsicum and saute.
  7. Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
  8. Now to this mixture add coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pav bhaji masala and salt and mix well.
  9. Now add 3/4 cup water or as per your desired consistency. Cook for few minutes.
  10. Add the mashed vegetables to it and cook further for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Add the celery, green part of green onions and burger mayonnaise and saute for 1 minute.
  12. Now add the paneer pieces to it and mix everything well.
  13. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  14. The bhaji is ready.
  15. Now take burger buns and half them.
  16. Now take a tawa and roast the burger buns by applying butter until slight brownish.
  17. Now take the serving dish and put the base of burger buns on it.
  18. Apply burger mayonnaise on the inner sides of bun.
  19. Top with cucumber pieces, then put the bhaji on it, sprinkle jaljeera masala and then cover with top piece.
  20. Your tasty healthy bhaji chatkara burger is ready.

My Tip:

You can add veggies of your choice.
