Ingredients to make Bitter gourd pakoras

  • Tender bitter gourd slices 3/4 cup
  • salt to taste
  • besan flour 3/4 cup
  • Cornflour 2 tsp
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Ajwain seeds 1 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • Cooking oil for deep fry
  • buttermilk 1/2 - 3/4 cup

How to make Bitter gourd pakoras

  1. BESAN FLOUR 3/4 CUP, 2 TSP CORNFLOUR
  2. SALT 1/4 TSP, A PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA, AJWAIN SEEDS 1 TSP
  3. CHILLI POWDER 1 TSP, BUTTER MILK 1/4 CUP
  4. MIX WELL
  5. ADD SUFFICIENT BUTTERMILK AND PREPARE THE SMOOTH BATTER
  6. DIP 3/4 CUP TENDER BITTER GOURD SLICES, ALLOW IT 5 MINUTES
  7. CHECK THE HOTNESS OF OIL
  8. DEEP FRY IN BATCHES
  9. FLIP OVER AND FRY IN LOW FLAME
  10. FRY TILL CRISPY OR GOLDEN BROWN, STRAIN AND REMOVE ON KITCHEN TOWEL AND SERVE IN HOT
