Spicy Baby potato Ghee roast

Ingredients to make Spicy Baby potato Ghee roast

  • Baby potatoes - 1/4 kg
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Carom seeds / Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - as required
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • ghee - for sauté fry

How to make Spicy Baby potato Ghee roast

  1. Boil the baby potatoes with salt in a pressure cooker until cooked
  2. Peel the potatoes and keep it ready
  3. Add 2 tbsp ghee to a pan. When hot, add cumin seeds
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes
  5. To this immediately add turmeric powder and Kashmiri red chili powder, salt and give a quick stir
  6. Now add the potatoes and mix gently until the masala is coated all over and cook covered
  7. After 5 mins of cooking in a low flame, open the lid and add crushed ajwain seeds and sugar and give a final stir
  8. Switch off the flame and leave it covered with lid for 2 mins and serve hot

My Tip:

Ghee will reduce the spiciness of the recipe so add chilli powder accordingly
