Ingredients to make Healthy Muthiya

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • bajra flour 1/ 2 cup
  • Yellow corn flour 1/3 cup
  • besan 2 tbs
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • sugar 2 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chopped and washed methi leaves 2 cup
  • Chopped and washed spinach 2 cup
  • Chopped fresh coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Green garlic, green chilli and ginger crushed 1 tbsp
  • For tadka
  • oil 1 tbs
  • mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  • sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • Green garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  • Dry red chilli 1
  • asafoetida 1/4 tsp

How to make Healthy Muthiya

  1. Take a large bowl add wheat flour, bajra flour, yellow corn flour and besan.
  2. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, ajwain.
  3. Add 2 tbsp oil and crushed chilli, garlic and ginger.
  4. Add coriander leaves, methi and spinach leaves.
  5. Mix well the mixture then add curd and sugar.
  6. Now combine the mixture and make a dough.
  7. Make muthiya from dough mixture.
  8. Heat dhokha cooker with enough water for steam the muthiya.
  9. Keep muthiya plate in dhokla cooker or steamer for 20 minutes.
  10. After it done remove form cooker and cut it .
  11. For tadka in kadai heat 1 tbsp oil.
  12. Add mustard seeds and dry red chilli for tempering.
  13. Add 1/4 tsp asafoetida, green garlic and sesame seeds.
  14. Add muthiya, coriander leaves and mix well then cook for next 5 minutes.
  15. Serve hot with tea or pickle.
