ABOUT Healthy Muthiya RECIPE

Muthiya is famous Gujarati snackes which are delicious in taste and healthy too. You can enjoy this in morning breakfast, in lunch box and also in dinner too. Easy to digest and comfortab food for everyone. You can serve it with masala chai, pickle and masala curd.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour 1 cup
  2. Bajra flour 1/ 2 cup
  3. Yellow corn flour 1/3 cup
  4. Besan 2 tbs
  5. Curd 1/2 cup
  6. Oil 2 tbsp
  7. Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Sugar 2 tbsp
  10. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  12. Chopped and washed methi leaves 2 cup
  13. Chopped and washed spinach 2 cup
  14. Chopped fresh coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  15. Green garlic, green chilli and ginger crushed 1 tbsp
  16. For tadka
  17. Oil 1 tbs
  18. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  19. Sesame seeds 1 tsp
  20. Green garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  21. Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  22. Dry red chilli 1
  23. Asafoetida 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take a large bowl add wheat flour, bajra flour, yellow corn flour and besan.
  2. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, ajwain.
  3. Add 2 tbsp oil and crushed chilli, garlic and ginger.
  4. Add coriander leaves, methi and spinach leaves.
  5. Mix well the mixture then add curd and sugar.
  6. Now combine the mixture and make a dough.
  7. Make muthiya from dough mixture.
  8. Heat dhokha cooker with enough water for steam the muthiya.
  9. Keep muthiya plate in dhokla cooker or steamer for 20 minutes.
  10. After it done remove form cooker and cut it .
  11. For tadka in kadai heat 1 tbsp oil.
  12. Add mustard seeds and dry red chilli for tempering.
  13. Add 1/4 tsp asafoetida, green garlic and sesame seeds.
  14. Add muthiya, coriander leaves and mix well then cook for next 5 minutes.
  15. Serve hot with tea or pickle.
