ABOUT Carrot and peas dry veggie RECIPE

One of my favourite vegetable in the winter months. Fresh peas and red carrots make an awesome to look and tasty to eat combination.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 medium size carrots
  2. 1 cup peas
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. pinch asafoetida
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  8. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the carrots into small size.
  2. In a wok heat up oil and add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  3. Add carrots and peas together as the seeds crackle.
  4. Add salt sauté in medium flame for 3-4 mins.
  5. Add turmeric powder and cover and cook on low flame for 4-5 mins till the carrots turn little soft.
  6. Add coriander powder and red chilli powder and cover and cook for another 2-3 mins.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala powder and switch off the gas.
  8. Serve hot with your favourite roti or parantha.
