Ingredients to make Jackfruit curry ( bong style)

  • Raw jackfruit- 2 cups ( peel, cut and boiled)
  • potato - 1 nos ( cube)
  • Chopped onion - 1 cup
  • Chopped tomato - 1/2 cup
  • ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  • cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • coriander pwd - 1 1/2 tsp
  • chilly pwd - 1/2 tbsp
  • turmeric pwd - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala pwd - 1 tsp
  • ghee - 2tbsp
  • cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Whole red chilly - 2 nos
  • bay leaves- 2 nos
  • sugar - 1/2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste

How to make Jackfruit curry ( bong style)

  1. Cut and boiled the jackfruit and drain the water.
  2. Heat oil and deep fry potato and take out from oil.
  3. Add whole spices into same oil.
  4. Add chopped onion after spices crackle and fry the onion till brown.
  5. Mix all masalas into ginger garlic paste except garam masala and mix well. Pour into fried onion.
  6. Add tomato and continue to cook till oil separated from the side.
  7. Now add boiled jackfruit and fried potato and cook for 2 -.3 minutes, Add sugar and salt.
  8. Add hot water and another 5 minutes to cook.
  9. Before switch off the gas add ghee and garam masala
