Raw Banana Jamun

Ingredients to make Raw Banana Jamun

  • 1 Raw banana
  • 1/2 Cup Milk Powder
  • 4 Tbsp maida
  • 1 Tbsp Rava
  • 1/2 Tsp ghee
  • oil for Frying
  • For Syrup :
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup water
  • 3 Elachi Crushed

How to make Raw Banana Jamun

  1. For Sugar Syrup :
  2. Add sugar and water in a thick bottomed pan and bring it to boil.
  3. Then add crushed elachi and simmer the flame for 5 mins.
  4. Once done, remove from the flame and keep aside.
  5. For Jamun :
  6. Pressure cook the raw banana and mash it completely without any lumps.
  7. Add milk powder to the mashed banana followed by maida, rava and ghee.
  8. Mix and knead well to get a soft dough. Keep aside.
  9. Grease both the palms with ghee and make small balls out of the prepared dough.
  10. Deep fry them in batches in a low flame.
  11. Drop the fried jamuns in a sugar syrup and keep aside to get soaked.
  12. Serve hot or cold.
