Ingredients to make Shakkar para

  • all purpose flour 270 gm
  • water. 50 ml
  • Milk 50 ml
  • ghee 100 gm
  • sugar. 100 gm
  • salt. 1/4 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Shakkar para

  1. IN A POT TRANSFER 50 ML WATER.
  2. ADD 50ML MILK.
  3. ADD 1/4 TSP SALT
  4. ADD 50 ML GHEE.
  5. ADD 100 GM SUGAR.
  6. BOIL IT UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES.
  7. COOL IT DOWN TO ROOM TEMPERATURE.
  8. IN A BOWL TRANSFER 270 GM ALL PURPOSE FLOUR.
  9. IN THE CENTRE OF FLOUR MAKE A WALL.
  10. ADD REST OF THE 50 ML GHEE.
  11. MIX WELL USING HANDS.
  12. ONCE OT STARTS LOOKING LIKE BRRAD CRUMBS.
  13. ADD THE BOILED SYRUP.
  14. MIX WELL.
  15. ADD THE BOILED SYRUP LITTLE BY LITTLE.
  16. FORM A SOFT & SMOOTH DOUGH.
  17. REST IT FOR 10 MINUTES IN COVERED.
  18. ROLL HALF OF THE DOUGH INTO A DISK.
  19. ROLL INTO 1/8 TH INCH THICKNESS.
  20. CUT IT USEING A SHARP KNIFE OR CUTTER.
  21. CUT INTO SQUARES OR DIAMONDS.
  22. SHAKKAR PARAS ARE READY TO FRY.
  23. FRY THEM IN SUFFICIENT MEDIUM HOT OIL.
  24. FLIP THEM TO FRY EVENLY.
  25. FRY UNTIL GETS GOLDEN BROWN COLOUR.
  26. SERVE IN A PLATE.
  27. ENJOY TEA TIME WITH SAKKAR PARA.
