Methi Para

Ingredients to make Methi Para

  • wheat flour 1/2 cup
  • maize flour 1/2 cup
  • methi leaves 1/2 cup
  • red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • oil 2 tsp + for frying
  • Carom seeds 1 tsp
  • water as required
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle

How to make Methi Para

  1. Mix both the flours and add all ingredients except the oil for frying.
  2. Knead a dough by adding required amount of water.
  3. Now roll thin chapatis from it and cut the paras in desired shapes.
  4. Heat oil and deep fry them till they are crisp and golden brown in colour.
  5. Sprinkle some chaat masala on them and serve.

My Tip:

You can use bajri flour instead of maize flour.
