About banana sheera Recipe

sheera or halwa is one of my favourite desserts, adding banana to it makes it all so scrumptious and healthy too.

Ingredients to make banana sheera

  • 1/2 cup sooji or semolina
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped cashews
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • saffron strands

How to make banana sheera

  1. Heat ghee in a wok and fry cashews and raisins till cashews change colour and raisins puff up.
  2. Remove both aside and in same wok, add semolina and roast till it changes colour and becomes fragrant.
  3. Add chopped bananas and stir well for a min.
  4. Add cardamom powder and fried nuts and mix well.
  5. Add water and stir well so that there are no lumps.
  6. Add saffron strands and sugar and stir well till sugar is incorporated.
  7. Stir for 1-2 mins more and then switch off the gas.
  8. Serve hot.

My Tip:

You can add or lessen banana and sugar as per your taste.
