A side dish with raw mango, coconut & curd, that goes well with rice.

Mango perukku.

Ingredients to make Mango perukku.

  • Raw mango pieces 1 cup
  • Grated coconut 1/2 cup.
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • Small onion 4
  • Green chilli 2 or 3 according to ur taste
  • mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • coconut oil 1 tbsp
  • curry leaves a few

How to make Mango perukku.

  1. This s a dish without any cooking.
  2. Put in blender coconut, onion, green chillies, mustard seeds & salt. Coarsely grind.
  3. Then add mango pieces .run the mixi for 1 or 2 sec, just to crush mango pieces & mix with coconut mixture. If the mango if source, add some sugar, just to adjust taste.
  4. Remove it to the bowl. Add beaten curd. Mix well.
  5. Then add curry leaves & coconut oil. Mix well.
  6. Serve with rice.

My Tip:

Try to take raw, fresh & not so sour mangoes. If mango or curd is sour, add some sugar, just to adjust taste.
