Ram Laddu

Ingredients to make Ram Laddu

  • moong dal dhuli 1 cup
  • chana dal 1/4 cup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ginger julienned 1 tsp
  • Grated radish 1 cup
  • coriander and mint chutney
  • Few coriander leaves
  • Green chilli chopped 2 nos
  • oil for frying
  • 1 pinch of baking soda

How to make Ram Laddu

  1. Soak the moong dal and chana dal for a minimum of 6 hours. After this time, grind them in a coarse paste. It should neither be of thin or thick consistency.
  2. Add salt, pepper, coriander leaves and green chillies to the batter with a pinch of baking soda.
  3. Now make medium sized balls and fry till they turn brown in colour. Take them out and arrange on a platter.
  4. Put some grated radish and green chutney on it and serve it hot.

My Tip:

The dal should not be finely grounded but it should be coarsely grounded.
