About Suji dhokla Recipe

Made of suji, curd, Eno fruit salt and topped with a sweet-tangy tadka

Suji dhokla

Ingredients to make Suji dhokla

  • For dhokla: 2 cup suji
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp green chili
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • Juice of one lemon
  • One satchet of eno fruit salt
  • For tadka: 1 tbsp oil
  • One tsp black mustard seeds
  • One tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp green chili
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • One glass water with half lemon juice
  • Fresh coriander leaves

How to make Suji dhokla

  1. Firstly put all the ingredients of dhokla together except eno .
  2. Keep it at side for 20 min
  3. After 20 min add eno to it
  4. Grease the tin with oil pour the batter.
  5. Cook in steamer for 20 min
  6. Meanwhile make tadka.
  7. Heat oil to it add til, sarson, curry leaves, chili, sugar, salt, lemon water
  8. Bring it to boil for 2-3 min
  9. When you take out dhokla from steamer. Put tadka over it .
  10. Let it rest for next 10 min
  11. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and cut them in pieces. Enjoy
