ABOUT Rangeen pichkari RECIPE

Indian summers are colourful, bright, flavorful and festival full. To quench this festive thirst on festive days after playing holi its eseential to have somthing healthy, tasty and thanda thanda cool cool. Popsicles and summers go hand in hand and homemade popsicles are always healthy. Rangeen pichkari is a flavorful healthy version of fruity, milky and milkmaid popsicles.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole fat milk - 1ltr
  2. Rosemilk essence( Here its home made with thickened syrup of fresh organic rose petals)
  3. Dry ginger - 1/2tsp,
  4. Black pepper powder - 1/4tsp,
  5. Cardamom powder - 1/4tsp,
  6. Turmeric powder - a pinch,
  7. Cashew, Almond, poppy seeds each a spoon dry roasted and powdered - 4tsp,
  8. Sugar - as per your choice (approx 1/4kg)
  9. Mint, coriander - finely chopped each 4 spoons grinded into fine paste
  10. Black salt - a pinch
  11. Lemon juice - juice of half lemon,
  12. Jaljeera powder - a pinch,
  13. Salt - as per your taste,
  14. Water melon juice - 150 ml
  15. Milkmaid condensed milk - 3tsp

Instructions

  1. To prepare Rose Milk Pichkari(popsicle) A. Boil the milk to its half consistency, which shall be enough for one pichkari. B. Now add enough sugar and 1 tsp of condensed milk to the warm milk, C. Now add a drop of rosemilk essence and mix well. D. Let it cool and pour it in the popsicle mould and cool overnight.
  2. To prepare DryGinger Milk Pichkari (popsicle) A. Take sufficient amount of boiled milk and mix required sugar and condensed milk to it. B. Add dry ginger powder, black pepper powder, cardamom powder, nuts and poppy seeds powder and mix well. C. Now let it cool, then pour in the popsicle mould and freeze overnight.
  3. To make Watermelon Pichkari(popsicle) A. Mix milkmaid a spoon to the watermelon juice, B. Add a pinch of pepper powder, C. Add a pinch of salt and mix well and pour it in the mould and freeze overnight.
  4. To make Mint Pichkari(popsicle) A. In a glass of water add lemon juice, to it add the grinded mint and coriander paste mix well. B. To this mix jaljeera powder, black salt, and mix well, C. Now strain this and pour it in the popsicle mould and freeze it overnight.
  5. To demould the pichkaris(popsicle) place the mould in normal water and then remove and serve immediately.
