Palm treacle Vatilapam

Ingredients to make Palm treacle Vatilapam

  • Palm treacle or Kithul treacle - 400 ml
  • coconut milk - 400 ml
  • Eggs - 8 or (the same quantity of coconut milk)
  • nutmeg powder - half teaspoon
  • cardamom powder- half teaspoon
  • salt a pinch
  • For garnishing
  • almonds -10 finely chopped
  • pista -10 finely chopped

How to make Palm treacle Vatilapam

  1. First beat all the eggs in a bowl with blender.
  2. Then add coconut milk,kithul treacle, nutmeg powder cardamom powder and a pinch of salt.
  3. Beat all the ingredients well with the blender.
  4. Preheat the oven for 30 minutes .
  5. Grease a baking pan with applying butter and pour the blended mixture to it.
  6. Cover the pan with aluminium foil and bake 45 minutes to one hour at 350°F.
  7. Check the oven between every 15 minutes.
  8. After baking remove the pan from the oven and leave it for cool and garnish with nuts.
  9. Keep it in the fridge for one hour and serve cool.
