About Tinday Masala Gosht Curry..... Recipe

A yummy variation with tinday and mutton. Apple gourd gravy with mutton is a super delicious dish and can be had with both rice and rotis. Looks extremely colourful and eye catching with a medley of various hues and shades. A lovely combo that is a must have for any meal of the day, either lunch or dinner. Happy Cooking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tinday Masala Gosht Curry.....

Ingredients to make Tinday Masala Gosht Curry.....

  • apple gourd or tinda 1/4th kg
  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • salt 1 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Green fat chillies 5-6
  • onions chopped 2
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • tomatoes chopped 2
  • coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup
  • lemon wedges for garnishing few

How to make Tinday Masala Gosht Curry.....

  1. Wash and set aside the mutton.
  2. Cut tinday into halves and apply half of all the masalas to it.
  3. Set them aside for 15 minutes.
  4. In a pressure cooker, heat oil and saute the onions until translucent.
  5. Add the tomatoes and the other half of the masalas too.
  6. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Now add the mutton and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  8. Add little water and pressure cook for 6 whistles.
  9. Let the pressure settle down before opening the lid.
  10. Add the tinday now.
  11. Cook until the next 10-12 minutes on a low heat keeping it covered with a lid.
  12. Check for salt and adjust it accordingly.
  13. Garnish with coriander and fried green chillies.
  14. Also garnish with lemon wedges.
  15. Serve hot with rice or chapatis.
