About Corn toast Recipe

An instant and easy to make dish especially for children during their exams.

Corn toast

Ingredients to make Corn toast

  • 8-10 slices bread
  • 1 cup of boiled corn
  • 1 tbsp maida
  • 1 tbsp ghee or butter
  • 1/4 cup milk for white sauce
  • 1 cheese cube
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • salt as per taste

How to make Corn toast

  1. Shallow fry the bread crispy on a non-stick pan both sides with the butter crispy on a low flame.
  2. To make the white sauce, heat a small pan and add the butter. Gently add in the flour and stir until they are combined well. Next pour in milk and stir continuously as it thickens. Simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes, once cooked season it with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the boiled corn, white sauce, cheese, salt, chilli flakes, pepper, oregano and apply on the toast as you like. (You can grill it in the sandwich toaster as well).
  4. Garnish with grated cheese and enjoy.

My Tip:

To make the white sauce thick add less milk to keep the corn dry. If you like you can add in more milk.
