About Kerala ginger fish curry Recipe

This is a recipe from kerala, fish in a ginger based curry, to be served with some steamed rice on the side.

Ingredients to make Kerala ginger fish curry

  • Cheela fish or any boneless fish 500 g
  • onion 100g
  • garlic 15 numbers
  • coconut 1/4
  • fennel 1 tbs
  • Oil(coconut/gingely) 100 g
  • tomato 2
  • chilli 4
  • Poppy seed paste 1/4 1bs
  • pepper 1/2 tbs
  • cashew nut 10 nos

How to make Kerala ginger fish curry

  1. Make a paste of the Coconut ,chilli ,poppy seed, garlic ,fennel, pepper ,cashew nuts , keep aside.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan & add Dry Chilli, fennel seeds, curry leaves followed by the chopped onion ,chilli .
  3. Saute for few minutes and then add the paste. Cook for few minutes and then add the chopped tomatoes.
  4. Let the masala get cooked and then add some water ,salt and fish. Cook this on a low flame for 10 minutes or until the fish gets cooked. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves on top and serve.
