This is an easy and quick recipe of pulao, made with veggies.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. salt to taste
  2. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  3. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  4. Chopped onion - 1
  5. potatoes [diced] - 1
  6. cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  7. oil two tablespoon
  8. rice 1 cup


  1. Chop the onion and dice the potatoes, keep aside. Wash and soak the rice for 10 minutes.
  2. Now heat a pressure cooker pan with some oil. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle, add the diced potatoes and saute for few seconds.
  3. Then add the chopped onion and saute until golden brown in color. Add the spices and salt, give it a good mix.
  4. Now add the rice and mix it. Add 2 cups of water and mix.
  5. Now close the lid and cook until 2 whistles are released.
  6. And your rice will be ready
