About Urd dall vada Recipe

This is a perfect tiffin recipe and also a snack, made with urad dal.

Ingredients to make Urd dall vada

  • urad dal 1 cup
  • salt
  • green chilly [chopped] - 3
  • hing [1/4 th tsp]
  • curry leaves - 10
  • oil

How to make Urd dall vada

  1. Wash and soak the dal for 2 hours.
  2. Drain the water and grind the dal along with chillies, asafoetida into a paste.
  3. Now mix curry leaves and salt into the ground paste.
  4. Now heat ample amount of oil in a wok, on a medium flame, then make small vadas out of the batter and put them into the oil. Fry until golden brown in color, Strain and serve hot.
