About BEETROOT CARROT WRAP Recipe

Very healthy carrot,beetroot wrap stuffed with corn and spices.

BEETROOT CARROT WRAP

Ingredients to make BEETROOT CARROT WRAP

  • For The Beetroot carrot Rot:i1/2 cup grated beetroot
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp ajwain
  • 2 tap red chilli powder
  • 1/3 tap salt
  • For The corn Gravy Stuffing:
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomato onion
  • 1/2 cup corn boiled
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • A generous pinch of hing
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • salt To taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • Handfull chopped coriander
  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • Other ingredients :
  • oil for cooking
  • Ketchup for serving

How to make BEETROOT CARROT WRAP

  1. For the beetroot roti: Combine all the ingredients in bowl and knead into a soft dough.
  2. Cover the dough for 10 minutes.
  3. Roll a chapati.
  4. Heat a tava and cook it lightly on a medium flame on both the sides.
  5. For the stuffing:
  6. Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds.When the seeds crackle, add hing and ginger-garlic paste thn aftr 1 min add onion tomato and sauté on a medium flame till it show oil on it.
  7. Add the turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  8. Thn add corn and Cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes,.Add the chilli powder, coriander and coriander powder, mix well and cook on a medium flame while stirring
  9. Wrapping:
  10. Place a betroot roti on a clean, dry surface and spread ½ tsp of the sause evenly over it.
  11. Place a portion of the stuffing in the centre of the roti.
  12. Fold the two opposite ends of the roti over the stuffing.Start rolling the roti from one open end over the 2nd side
  13. seal the wrap from the centre using toothpick.
  14. Heat a tava cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes with little oil from both the sides.

My Tip:

You can also add bellpapers,brocoli etc in stuffing.
