Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. To make sugar syrup:
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1 Cup water
  4. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  5. to make gulab jamun:
  6. 150 grams grated khoya
  7. 1 tbsp grated paneer
  8. 2 tbsp caltrop (singoda) flour
  9. 1/8 tsp soda
  10. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. to make sugar syrup:
  2. mix together water and sugar in a pot
  3. boil the syrup until it turns slightly sticky, add cardamom powder and switch off the flame
  4. to make gulab jamun:
  5. mix together khoya, paneer, flour and soda and make a soft dough (if required sprinkle some water)
  6. now make equal sized balls from the dough
  7. heat oil in a kadai
  8. when the oil is just medium hot, add the balls and fry on medium flame until brown
  9. keep stirring gently to fry them uniformly
  10. now remove the balls from oil and add them to the prepared syrup
  11. allow them to rest for 1 hour then serve
