ABOUT Green Garlic Coriander Chutney RECIPE

Green garlic never ceases to delight me with its mild garlicky flavour and soothing green colour. This heart-friendly garlic greens have many health benefits as it is rich in iron, acts as antibiotic and also it boosts immunity.Whenever in season, I use them instead of garlic, almost in any recipe like paratha, chutneys, subzji, dhal, dips, salads, soups, savoury bakes etc. This chutney recipe is very simple and easy-to-make with very few ingredients and tastes delectable.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green garlic leaves- 1 cup, chopped (you can use its tender garlic bulb also)
  2. Fresh coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
  3. Green Chillies- 2 or 3 (as per taste)
  4. Lemon Juice- 1 tsp
  5. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the green garlic leaves, its tender bulbs, coriander and green chillies. Blend it into a smooth paste along with salt and lemon juice.
  2. Use 1 or 2 ice cubes instead of water to blend the chutney. This method enhances the green colour in the chutney for a longer time.
  3. Transfer it to a clean and dry container and store it in fridge.
  4. Yummy and healthy green garlic chutney is ready in a jiffy!
