Cajun Spiced Potato Wedges

Ingredients to make Cajun Spiced Potato Wedges

  • potato 500gms
  • cornflour 2 tblsp
  • Baking Powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tblsp
  • garlic powder 1 tblsp
  • onion Powder 1 tblsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tblsp
  • Mixed herbs 1 tblsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Cajun Spiced Potato Wedges

  1. Cut Potatoes into wedges
  2. Rinse them with ice cold water
  3. Par boil the potato wedges with little salt. Do not overcook
  4. Drain and let it cool down for sometime.
  5. Take a zip lick bag add the wedges add Cornflour and baking powder
  6. Shake well and freeze for atleast 2 hrs. You can make batches and preserve them.
  7. Take it out from freezer and fry in hot oil till crispy.
  8. Take the wedges out in a bowl and add Chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper powder and mixed herbs.
  9. Mix well so that spices are coated well on each piece.
  10. Serve hot with mint chutney and garlic mayo.

My Tip:

If you don’t want it to be spicy you can add 1 tblsp kashmiri mirch powder instead of Red chilli powder
