Spouted Moong Subzi (Sprouted Green Gram Vegetable)

Ingredients to make Spouted Moong Subzi (Sprouted Green Gram Vegetable)

  • Sprouted moong (green gram) - 1 1/2 cup
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sambhar powder (any brand / homemade) - 1 1/2 tablespoon
  • sugar - 1/8 teaspoon
  • oil - 2 tablespoon
  • salt to taste

How to make Spouted Moong Subzi (Sprouted Green Gram Vegetable)

  1. Heat oil. Add sprouted moong, turmeric powder, sambhar powder, sugar and salt.
  2. Add water till it covers the moong. (Approximately 3 cups - more can be added later)
  3. Cook on slow flame for 20 minutes till moong is cooked.
  4. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Can be eaten as it is or with chapatis or even used as a topping for dosas.

Sprouted moong won't need 20 min to cook, they will be overcooked
