Sambar sadam

Ingredients to make Sambar sadam

  • rice 1 tumbler
  • Tuvanaparrupu 1/4 tumbler
  • red chilly 4 or according to the interest
  • dhania seeds 1 spoon
  • Kadalaparrupu 1/2 spoon
  • pepper 5 no
  • Jeergam 1 spoon
  • cloves 3
  • cinnamon 1 strip
  • Small onion 10 no
  • Gingergarlic 1 spoon optional
  • Beans 50 gms
  • carrot 50 gms
  • Drumstick 1 no
  • Brinjal 50gms
  • Raw banana 1/2
  • Chow chow 1/2
  • ghee 50gms
  • tamarind one small size

How to make Sambar sadam

  1. Collect all the ingredients
  2. Cut all the vegetables
  3. Soak the tamarind
  4. Roast the red chilly dhania seeds jeera kadala paruppu cinnamon pepper cloves
  5. Meanwhile cook the rice and tuvaranparrupu in thw cooker together add 5 tumbler of water to cook
  6. Grind the roasted ingredients
  7. Let the cooker give 3 to 4 whistle
  8. Now pour ghee in the pan add small onion fry it for some time then add ginger garlic paste
  9. Ginger garlic paste
  10. Add the vegetable one by one and stir them
  11. Allow them to cook in ghee for 3 minutes then add the tamarind juice to it
  12. Pouring the tamarind juice along with water so the vegetables get cooked
  13. By the time see that the rice is cooked well then smash the rice and dhal together
  14. Smash them
  15. Now add the cooked vegetables to the rice with dhal then stir them without any lumps add boiling water to it
  16. Now add turmeric powder and salt to it and stir them well
  17. The add the roasted and grinded powder to it then stir them add the remaining ghee to it
  18. Ready to serve

My Tip:

U can make this food with the leftover rice also but always i preffer to have fresh rice as it is goid fr health
