Inspired by Doi katla I have made this dish with raw mango.Taste is really good.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Fish piece...4
  2. Onion...1(small)
  3. Green chilli...4
  4. Garlic...5 to 7
  5. Cashew nuts...5 to 6
  6. Poppy seeds...1tspn
  7. Mustard seeds...1tspn
  8. Mango pulp...2tspn
  9. Curd...1tspn
  10. Sugar...1tspn(if needed add more)
  11. Green cardamom...2
  12. Cinnamon stick...1"
  13. Cloves...4
  14. Dry red chilli...1
  15. Panch foron masala...1tspn
  16. Turmeric powder...1tspn
  17. Red chilli powder...1tspn
  18. Kashmiri red chilli...1tspn
  19. Garam masala...1tsp
  20. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric powder & red chilli powder.
  2. Heat oil & fry the fish.After that take out from oil.
  3. Add dry red chilli & panch foron masala & fry it for few minutes.
  4. Make a paste of green cardamom, cloves, mango pulp, curd,onion,garlic, cinnamon stick , poppy seeds, mustard seeds & sugar.Add it to oil & fry it well.
  5. Add all spices & fry it well.
  6. After few minutes add hot water & let it boil.When it will start to leave bubble ,add fried fish.Cover it & cook it well.
  7. After 5 to 10 minutes open the lid.Check the gravy & salt.Add coriander leaves & garam masala.
  8. Switch off the flame.Its ready to serve now.
