Suji halwa is very easy to make at home with few ingredients.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Suji 1 1/4 cups
  2. Ghee 3-4tbsps
  3. Almonds,slivered 6-7
  4. Chopped Pistachio 2tbsps
  5. Raisins 10-12
  6. Sugar 3/4 cup
  7. Green cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Few Saffrons
  9. Hot water or milk 2 1/2 cups

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a non-stick pan,add almonds,pistachios and roast for 1 minutes.
  2. Add raisins and roast till the puff up.Transfer in a bowl.
  3. Heat remaining ghee in a non-stick pan,add suji and roast it for 3-4 minutes on low flame till light golden brown colour.
  4. Add sugar,cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Add 2 1/2 cups of hot water or milk and mix it well.
  6. Cover it and cook till sujiabsorbs the water and is fully done.
  7. Mix well and off the flame.
  8. Add 3/4 of roasted dry-fruits and mix well.
  9. Serve warm garnished with remaining roasted dry-fruits and few saffrons.
