About Lashuni murgh Recipe

A delicious chicken curry, with the flavour of garlic, to be served with steamed rice.

Lashuni murgh

Ingredients to make Lashuni murgh

  • chicken - 500 gms
  • clarified butter - 3 tbsp
  • water - 1 cup
  • Finely chopped onion - 1 cup
  • garlic paste - 4 tsp
  • ginger paste - 4 tsp
  • coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • curd - 4 tbsp
  • red chilly powder - 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • almond paste - 6 tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • jaiphal powder/nutmeg powder - 1/4 tsp
  • javitri powder/mace powder - 1/4 tsp
  • black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fried garlic - 4 tsp
  • saffron - a pinch
  • coriander leaves - 2tbsp

How to make Lashuni murgh

  1. Soak saffron in a half cup of water.
  2. Heat clarified butter in a pan,and fry the onion.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  4. Add coriander powder and two tbsp water and mix well.
  5. Stir continuously and cook in a low flame.
  6. Add curd and red chilly powder,turmeric powder and mix well.
  7. Add chicken pieces,salt and water and cook till tender.
  8. Add jaiphal powder,javitri powder fried garlic and saffron and mix well.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
