Macchi ka meetha saalan...

Ingredients to make Macchi ka meetha saalan...

  • King fish 1 kg
  • tomatoes chopped 3
  • onions chopped 3
  • green chillies slit 4
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Fish masala 1 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • curry leaves 10
  • salt 1 tbsp
  • oil 3-4 tbsp

How to make Macchi ka meetha saalan...

  1. Wash and rub salt to the fish pieces.
  2. Set aside until ready to use.
  3. In a pan, heat oil and add curry leaves.
  4. Saute ginger garlic paste next and add the onions.
  5. Saute onions until translucent.
  6. Add tomatoes and the rest of the spices.
  7. Saute until oil starts separating.
  8. Now add the fish pieces.
  9. Mix well and simmer on low heat until done.
  10. Add some hot water if required. There is no need to add because tomatoes and onions both leave their juices.
  11. Serve hot with plain white rice alongside raw onion slices.
