Ingredients to make Grilled Paneer With Honey Chilli Sauce

  • cottage cheese (paneer) 400 gms
  • butter 2 tbsps
  • For the sauce:garlic 1 tbsp
  • onion 1 medium sized
  • Cornstarch 1 tbsp

How to make Grilled Paneer With Honey Chilli Sauce

  1. DRY ROAST 4 DRY RED CHILLIES, 1/2 TSP NUTMEG, 1/2 INCH CINNAMON STICK, 3 CLOVES, 1/2 TSP CUMIN
  2. ADD 5-7 PEPPERCORNS, 1 TSP CORIANDER SEEDS, ROAST FOR 1-2 MINS ON LOW HEAT
  3. ADD TO A MIXER JAR, GRIND INTO A COARSE POWDER
  4. TAKE THE GROUND SPICES, ADD 1 TBSP OIL, 1-2 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, MIX & KEEP ASIDE
  5. TAKE 1 TBSP CORNFLOUR, ADD 1/2 CUP WATER, MIX INTO A SMOOTH SLURRY, KEEP ASIDE
  6. HEAT A NONSTICK GRILL PAN, ADD 400 GMS COTTAGE CHEESE CHUNKS
  7. GRILL ON MEDIUM HEAT TILL GOLDEN BROWN ON BOTH SIDES, KEEP ASIDE
  8. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TBSP MINCED GARLIC, STIR & SAUTE FOR 30 SECONDS
  9. ADD 1 FINELY CHOPPED ONION, FRY TILL TRANSLUCENT
  10. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI FLAKES, 1/4 TSP PEPPER POWDER, 1 TBSP SOY SAUCE
  11. ADD 2 TBSP HONEY, STIR BRISKLY
  12. ADD THE READY MASALA MIX, SAUTE
  13. ADD THE CORNFLOUR SLURRY, STIR BRISKLY TO AVOID LUMPS
  14. BRING TO A BOIL, COOK UNTIL THE SAUCE THICKENS
  15. ADD SALT TO TASTE, MIX & TAKE OFF HEAT
  16. TAKE 4-5 TBSP SAUCE ON A PLATE, PLACE THE COTTAGE CHEESE, SEASON WITH RED CHILLI FLAKES & OREGANO
